Statistics show that the EU produces about 26 million tons of plastic waste every year, of which less than 30 percent is recycled. Most of the rest is burned or dumped into landfills, or even into rivers and oceans, causing serious pollution to the environment. A spokesman for the European Commission said the EU would monitor member states' implementation of the plastic limit law and would provide guidance and assistance to member states as needed. The EU is due to review the legislation in 2027, by which time plasticised paper products, which are still available, could also be phased out of the market.
A supermarket tableware counter sales staff told reporters, summer because people party more, disposable tableware sales are very high, disposable plastic tableware off the shelf, paper tableware, paper straw and so on become hot. Reusable straws made of stainless steel sell particularly well. At local restaurants, disposable plastic cutlery largely disappeared last year, replaced by paper boxes. A restaurant owner told reporters that customers who bring their own lunch boxes will be given a discount when checking out.
That means the demand for stainless steel cutlery will increase. If you want to be a savvy buyer, you will not miss the following.
Before writing this post to share, I originally intended to write an article about cutlery culture, but after reading this conversation in a certain interview in daily news, I thought of a company, hoping to help you who have the same troubles as the citizens interviewed.I will quote the product picture of that company when I introduce the tableware culture. Bronze chopsticks unearthed from the Tomb of King Liangzhuang of Ming Dynasty
Chopsticks are not only used in China, but also in Japan, North Korea, South Korea, Vietnam and other countries. As an ancient civilization, China is also the birthplace of chopsticks. Eating with chopsticks has a history of more than 3,000 years. Although chopsticks are used in all these countries, they are also different.
Chopsticks in China are mostly made of bamboo, and they are longer than those in other countries, because we often eat with many people around a big table, and the plates are relatively far away from us. We often use only two chopsticks to eat, and other auxiliary utensils are not often used.
South Korean chopsticks are made of stainless steel because forest resources are very precious to them. The length of their chopsticks is shorter than that of Chinese chopsticks, and Koreans like soup, so they usually use it with a spoon.
Japanese chopsticks are even shorter because they usually eat for themselves and don't need such long chopsticks. Besides using stainless steel chopsticks, they prefer willow chopsticks because they believe willow can ward off evil spirits and has a good meaning.
Knife, fork and spoon are used in almost every meal in Europe and North America. They both eat separately and prefer meat such as steak. Knives and forks are really suitable for this way of eating. During the meal, the fork in the left hand and the knife in the right hand are used to cut the meat into small pieces before eating. This is different from China, where people cut up their food and eat it between bites. Among the countries that use knives and forks, Germany has the most exquisite knives and forks. Their knives and forks are all carved with patterns.
